PR – Set to return for the July-August vacation season, the Grenada Football Association (GFA) Summer of Soccer programme is a nationwide grassroots football initiative designed to engage boys and girls ages 6 to 16 in fun-filled football activity.
The programme will run from July 6 to August 6, 2026, with sessions taking place Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and will be offered free of charge to participants.
Designed to promote youth development, community participation, and wider access to football opportunities, Summer of Soccer 2026 will be hosted at multiple centres across Grenada and Carriacou, ensuring that young players from various communities can benefit from a fun environment of football lessons during the holiday period.
Centre locations are as follows:
- Carriacou – Lauriston Mini Stadium
- St. David – Belle Vue Playing Field
- St. John – Cuthbert Peters Park
- St. Mark – Alston George Park
- St. Patrick – Fond Playing Field and Plains Playing Field
- St. Andrew – Victoria Park, Grenville and Mount Horne Playing Field
- St. George – Queen’s Park and Morne Rouge
The initiative forms part of the GFA’s ongoing commitment to grassroots football development and to creating meaningful opportunities for children across the island to learn, enjoy, and grow through the game.
Marlon Glean, President, GFA said the programme reflects the Association’s continued investment in the future of football in Grenada.
“The Summer of Soccer programme is an important part of our grassroots development
agenda and our wider mission to make football accessible to young people across Grenada and Carriacou,” said Glean. “Through programmes like this, we are not only encouraging participation and skill development but also creating positive spaces where our boys and girls can be active, disciplined, and inspired by the game. We want to give as many young players as possible the opportunity to be involved, and this initiative helps to build the foundation for the future of Grenadian football.”
Parents and guardians are encouraged to pre-register their children by contacting the GFA Office at (473) 440-9903, so that the necessary preparations can be made to facilitate the programme effectively at each centre. Registration will also be available on the first day at the various locations; however, early registration is strongly encouraged.
The GFA is inviting parents to take advantage of this opportunity and ensure their children are part of what promises to be an exciting and impactful summer football experience.
