TAMCC Hosts Successful Second Annual Health Fair

PR – The T. A. Marryshow Community College held a successful 2nd Annual Carriacou Health Fair on  Thursday March 21 at the Hillsborough Tennis Court, drawing attendees eager to learn about and  engage with resources for their physical and mental well-being.

The fair, which was organized by the College’s Department of Student Affairs in collaboration  with the Health Ministries of the Conference of the Seven Day Adventists, aimed to give back to  the community while raising awareness about the importance of health and wellness. It featured a  wide range of free health and wellness services, including free health screenings and nutrition  education sessions to vision tests and doctor examinations.

“We were thrilled with the turnout and the enthusiasm of everyone who attended the health fair,”  said Trellona Charles, Corporate Communications Officer at Community College. “It was  wonderful to see so many members of the Carriacou and Petite Martinique community coming  together to prioritize their health and learn more about how they can take care of themselves.”

Attendees arrived early and praised the event for its free services, and welcoming atmosphere.  Over 100 attendees, aged 6 to 90+, from over 10 communities received free health services.  Following the fair, attendees were treated to a live band performance by the TAMCC College  Band.

TAMCC will continue offering health and wellness events in the future to further promote the  importance of physical and mental health among its students and the wider community. An annual  health fair is also held at the College’s Tanteen Campus in November.

The College extends a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Edward Guillaume & the Health Ministries of  The Conference of the Seventh Day Adventists, Hotel Laurena, Jiggers Sound and Event Supplies,  Sister Isle Radio Station and all other contributors for donating time and resources to make the  health fair possible.
