(TRINIDAD EXPRESS) – The Government is set to introduce an online arrival and departure card system aimed at modernising border management and improving the experience for travellers entering and leaving Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ministry of Homeland Security has invited members of the media to attend the official launch of the Online Arrival/Departure Card (ADC) Platform, which will be led by Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander.
According to the ministry, the digital platform forms part of a national initiative to modernise the country’s immigration and border control processes. The system will allow travellers to complete their arrival and departure documentation online before entering or leaving the country.
Officials said the introduction of the platform represents a major step in the Government’s efforts to digitise services, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen border security.
The new system is also expected to reduce the time passengers spend filling out paper forms at the airport and help streamline the processing of travellers at the country’s main ports of entry, including Piarco International Airport.
The ministry said the initiative is also intended to improve the overall travel experience for both visitors and returning nationals while allowing authorities to manage passenger information more efficiently.
Further details on the rollout and use of the new online platform are expected to be outlined at the launch.
