Registration is now officially open for the Luni Spark and Electrify Junior Soca Monarch 2026, giving young, aspiring soca artistes an opportunity to showcase their talent on a major national stage.
The Junior Soca Monarch competition, which began in 2018, was created as an avenue for young, budding performers to develop and display their vocal and stage performance skills while gaining early exposure to Grenada’s vibrant soca culture. Since its inception, the competition has played a key role in nurturing the next generation of soca stars.
The event was temporarily put on hold in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but has since regained momentum and popularity. Organizers say the 2026 edition is expected to be one of the highlights of Spicemas 2026, as interest continues to grow among young performers and their supporters.
Parents and guardians of interested participants are encouraged to register early, as spaces are limited. Further details regarding audition dates, rules, and competition guidelines are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
The Luni Spark and Electrify Junior Soca Monarch continues to affirm its commitment to youth development, cultural expression, and the preservation of Grenada’s soca music tradition.
The date for this year’s competition, themed “Clash Of The Titans”, is Friday, July 31st.
