PR – Real Value Supermarket IGA is celebrating a major international achievement following the recognition of its Managing Director, Mr. Hassan Hadeed, as the IGA International Retailer of the Year for the Caribbean.
Mr. Hadeed received the prestigious recognition during the IGA Centennial Global Rally and Awards of Excellence in Atlanta, Georgia, as the Independent Grocers Alliance celebrated its 100th anniversary and honored outstanding retailers and industry leaders from across its global network.
The award represents another significant milestone for Real Value Supermarket IGA and for Grenada, recognizing Mr. Hadeed’s leadership and the supermarket’s longstanding commitment to excellence in retail, customer service, innovation and community.
For Mr. Hadeed, however, the recognition extends far beyond one individual.
“It is with profound gratitude and humility that I accept the Exceptional International Retailer of the Year Award on behalf of Real Value Supermarket IGA, our dedicated team, and the people of Grenada,” Mr. Hadeed said during his acceptance remarks.
The 2026 recognition is particularly significant as it marks Real Value Supermarket IGA’s second international IGA award. The company received its first international IGA recognition in Sydney, Australia, in 2009.
Seventeen years later, the latest award reinforces a record of sustained commitment to high standards within the supermarket industry.
The achievement also comes as Real Value celebrates 26 years of serving Grenada, having grown over the years while continuing to invest in its people, customer experience, technology, convenience and the communities it serves.
Mr. Hadeed credited the achievement to the collective efforts of the Real Value team, noting that the company’s success would not have been possible without the dedication of its employees, management, customers, suppliers and partners.
For Real Value, the award therefore represents not only international recognition of its Managing Director, but recognition of the many people who have contributed to the company’s journey.
