New Turf Wicket For The Dover Playing Field

PR  – Cricketers residing in the Dover, Windward community will soon have the use of the Dover Playing Field, where a new turf wicket is being put down. It’s the work of the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government.

The construction of the turf wicket follows ongoing rehabilitation work on the playing field by the Ministry led by Hon. Tevin Andrews.

For years, students of the Dover Government School were unable to participate in any sporting activities due to the condition of the playing field.

Meanwhile, to ensure Government gets value for money and an appreciation of the work being done, the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government led a delegation, who included Engineer Ricardo Anivatarte, Engineering Assistant Richie Stewart and Planning Officer Janel Quashie, to different infrastructural project sites on the island.
