Ministry Supports Community Beautification Project

PR – The development of communities across Carriacou and Petite Martinique continues to be a major focus for the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government.

In one initiative, assistance is being given by the Ministry to the Top Hill Community Group for the developing of a green space and the beautifying of the area.

Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, Hon. Tevin Andrews, visiting the area to see the ongoing work, said it is important when community and Government can work together for the greater good.

He noted that with the tri-island state preparing for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Independence, projects like these will help to lift the community spirit.

This is the third beautification project on the island. One is in Hillsborough and another in the boat-building community of Windward.
