Jamaican Cocaine Dealer Who Hid Drugs In Anus Sentenced To 9 Years

(JAMAICA OBSERVER) – A Jamaican-born drug dealer, with several previous convictions for similar infractions, was sentenced to more than nine years in jail in Brighton, England after he confessed to, among other things, hiding crack cocaine and heroin in his anus.

Henry MacFarlane pleaded guilty to seven counts of having class A drugs with intent to supply.

In addition to receiving nine-and-a-half years on that charge, he was sentenced to six months for having criminal property. The sentences are to run concurrently.

According to a report in Brighton and Hove News, MacFarlane tried to hide his stash of cocaine on two separate occasions.

On one such date in December 18, 2020, MacFarlane’s Kendal Court flat was searched.

The search of the flat revealed 14 crack cocaine deals, 35 deals of heroin, 2.11 grams of loose crack cocaine, a number of phones, iPads, scales and other paraphernalia related to drug dealing.

The total value of drugs was estimated was estimated at £1,080, prosecutors told the court last week.

The Jamaican was again arrested on March 2, 2021, at a small bathroom at a property on Brighton after lawmen found a man who died from a heroin overdose. There was no evidence to suggest that MacFarlane was responsible for the man’s death.

MacFarlane, while in custody, “produced from his anus 10 crack cocaine deals, nine heroin deals and a large lump of heroin”, the report quoted prosecutors as saying.

The Jamaican was arrested in February this year following an overdose. During an scan, foreign objects suspected to be drugs were found in his anus.

He later excreted “19 deals of crack cocaine a deal or heroin, a 1.45g lump of heroin and a golf ball seized 33.9g lump of cocaine – not crack,” prosecutors said, adding that “The total value of the drugs, including if the cocaine had been converted into crack, is estimated at £1,670 to £3,970.”

A month later, MacFarlane was nabbed by police officers when he was found to have been “cuckooing” a man. The Jamaican native was also found with a quantity of cocaine in his possession.

During his sentencing hearing, it was revealed that MacFarlane had at least three previous convictions for drug-related offences between 1998 and 2015.
