Guyana: Over $1 Billion In Ganja Destroyed By Joint Services

(GUYANA NEWS ROOM) – Ranks of the Guyana Police Force and the Guyana Defence Force (Coast Guard) on Wednesday destroyed 30 lbs of Cannabis seeds and 10 acres with approximately 58,000 Cannabis Sativa plants ranging from three to 10 feet in height.

The ranks, acting on information received, went to an area in Upper Berbice River, where they destroyed the Cannabis Sativa plants, two make-shift camps, and a number of farming tools.

The estimated value of the Cannabis Sativa destroyed is GYD$1,247,388,320 (US$5.9million).
