Update On Water Supply Restoration At The Annandale Water System

PR – NAWASA commenced dam cleaning operations at the Annandale Water Facility on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. These efforts continued late into the evening.

Dam cleaning requires the complete release of water from the dam to allow for the removal of debris that has accumulated over time. To minimize disruption, water stored in the system was distributed throughout the day.

The dam began refilling overnight, and at 4:00 a.m. today, the water treatment plant was reopened. As is typical with a gravity-fed system, consumers at lower elevations will receive water sooner than those at higher elevations.

The Annandale system serves areas from Annandale through to Point Salines. NAWASA expects consumers to begin receiving water throughout the course of the day, with full normalization anticipated by tonight.

NAWASA continues to remind consumers of the importance of maintaining some form of water storage to help manage interruptions during essential maintenance activities.
