PR – Efforts are moving speedily toward the installation of a second desalination plant for the Sister Isle of Carriacou.
Recently, a team from NAWASA, along with representatives from Expertise France and the European Union Delegation (EUD), visited Carriacou for further discussions on the commencement of the project.
Grenada has received a grant from the European Union for the procurement of the desalination plant, which will be installed adjacent to the existing facility at Seaview. The plant’s production has been contracted to OSMOSUN of France.
This project is aimed at strengthening water security for Carriacou by introducing a redundant system, ensuring continued access to water even when one facility is shut down for extended maintenance.
