Inter-Primary Football Competition 2023

PR – As the nation embraces Child Month 2023, the spirited young footballers from the six primary schools of Carriacou and Petite Martinique are showcasing their talents in the annual Inter-Primary Football Competition. 

The event, organized by the Division of Sports within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs & Local Government, began with an official opening ceremony at the Hillsborough Recreational Grounds.

The ceremony was addressed by Area Education Officer, Rosalina Patrice-Lendore, and Sports Officer Lenroy Jack. Both education and sports were emphasized as essential components of the youngsters’ holistic development. 

“Today’s footballers are not only athletes on the field but also scholars in the making. We encourage these young talents to give their best not just in the football arena but also in their academic pursuits,’’ stated Ms. Patrice-Lendore.

The Division of Sports, together with the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs & Local Government, reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing the talents of the youth and promoting a well-rounded approach to their development.

The primary schools’ competition, which promises thrilling matches, serves as a platform for aspiring football stars to demonstrate their skills.
