Support Given To The Carriacou Historical Society By Government Of Grenada

PR – Government has provided a subvention of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) to support the work of the Carriacou Historical Society.

The Society is responsible for the management and upkeep of the Carriacou Museum.

The subvention, according to Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, Hon. Tevin Andrews, is a direct contribution in Government’s support to the preservation of the rich heritage of the islands.

Expressions of thanks have been extended by members of the Society, which is working on improving the general aesthetics of the building and continuing with the documentation of the island’s history.
