Met Office Monitoring Tropical Wave

AREA OF SPECIAL INTEREST: 10 – 20 °N AND 45 – 65 °W 

Tropical wave: A well-defined western Atlantic tropical wave is along 57W, approximately 275  nautical miles, moving west at 15 to 20 knots. Scattered moderate to isolated strong convection  extends eastward from the southeast Caribbean. Moderate to fresh winds are found in and around the wave. This wave will move across the Lesser Antilles later today and tonight, increasing  moisture and instability over the islands. Note that the Met office has issued a warning for a  medium chance of flash flooding and gusty winds within this period. 

The met Office will continue to monitor this system and provide updates in a timely manner.
