PR – The Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government is giving full support to the 2023 Carriacou Regatta Festival.
This was confirmed by Permanent Secretary Javan Williams in a meeting with members of the Carriacou Regatta Committee which included President Leo Joseph.
PS Williams said the committee should place emphasis on the development of the sailing aspect of the Regatta by building a cordial relationship with boatmen.
Government’s subvention to the Festival is $150,000. PS Williams said organizers can expect other support in the execution of the oldest sailing Regatta in the region.
A media launch of the Carriacou Regatta Festival is scheduled for, 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 7th, at the Mermaid Beach Hotel Conference Room.
This year’s Regatta will be held from August 4th – 7th, 2023 under the theme, “Timeless Culture On The Sea”.
