PR – The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) apologizes to consumers who received discolored water due to a system malfunction from the Les Avocats Water Treatment Plant on Sunday April 2nd, 2023, that covers communities such as Perdmontemp, St. Paul’s, Morne Delice, Mt. Airy, The Bocas and surrounding areas in the parish of St. George.
Our Engineers are on the ground undertaking flushing activities to ensure that the water quality throughout the network is of an acceptable standard prior to the system reopening.
A sampling of water quality at various locations throughout the network has confirmed that despite the turbidity, NAWASA’s disinfection system was not compromised.
The Authority thanks all affected consumers who reached out to our team and assures all that efforts will be made to avoid a reoccurrence in the future.
