PR – More than one million dollars is being spent by the Government of Grenada to rehabilitate the Belair Road, through the Public Works Division in the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, Javan Williams, who was on site to witness the commencement of the work, said this is one of the major capital projects listed by Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, Hon. Tevin Andrews during his contribution to the 2023 budget.
P.S. Williams said the Minister is happy to see the project come to fruition, especially as the road leads to the Princess Royal Hospital and the community of Belair and surrounding areas.
Phase one of the project is being undertaken by contractor Neil Patrice.
Other projects on the sister isle include road development in the Mt. Pleasant area, and upgrade to the Hillsborough Recreational Grounds, including reconstruction of one of the bleachers.
