Police Investigate Two Motor Omnibus Accidents 

PR – Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicular incident at Old Fort Road, St. George, on Tuesday 21st March 2023, involving a White Toyota Mid-roof bus which was found lying on its right side diagonally across the road.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the said vehicle was travelling down Old Fort Road, in the vicinity of the Presentation Brothers College (PBC), when the driver experienced difficulties with the braking system, resulting in the vehicle flipping over to the right side of the road. The driver along with the passengers of the vehicle exited and were taken to the General Hospital to seek medical attention. 

Police are also investigating a separate vehicular accident which occurred on Tuesday 21st March, 2023, at Happy Hill, St. George, involving a white Toyota Hiace bus, resulting in a number of passengers being injured.  

At the time of the accident, the passenger bus was traveling along Happy Hill, Main Road en route to St. George’s, when the driver experienced difficulties with the braking system, which resulted in the bus colliding with a house. The passengers of the bus were taken to the General Hospital to seek medical attention.

Police investigations continue.
