High Commendation For Government On Work Being Done On Widening Streets In Hillsborough, Carriacou

PR – The Public Works Division within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government came in for high praise for the work being done on the widening of the streets in and around the town of Hillsborough.

A number of citizens, commenting on the work done so far, complimented the Ministry under Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, Hon. Tevin Andrews, described the work as “wonderful’’, saying “it should have happened a 100 years ago’’.

Others said they were “happy to see the use of young contractors in this work, which was long overdue’’.

Part of the work includes the widening of the streets close to the lone gas station on the island and a ring road and drains on Morris Street.

The intention is to allow traffic to flow easier along, while making it more comfortable for pedestrians.
