PR – More than 200ft of concrete pavement has been constructed in Cherry Hill, in keeping with a promise to residents of the area from the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government.
The material cost of the project was approximately $17,590.30, with labour provided by the members of the community.
Community Development Officer within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, Roxanne Cox, said she was impressed with the community spirit in getting the job done.
The removal of a boulder, which for many years limited access by utility companies and emergency service, and now the construction of the new concrete pavement, will provide easier access to the Cherry Hill community.
The boulder’s removal was a collaborative effort between the Public Works Division and Maxo’s Equipment.
