UK Government Provides Immigration Training To Officers Of The Royal Grenada Police Force

PR – This month the UK government provided immigration training for a total of 21 officers from the immigration and customs departments.  The training session covered the main immigration risks and threats within the Eastern Caribbean and offered tools and guidance to assist participants to address those risks.

In his remarks during the closing ceremony of the one day training session, Resident British Commissioner to Grenada, Mr Victor Clark, congratulated the Royal Grenada Police Force and the Department for Immigration for its enthusiasm and engagement ensuring the training went ahead.  To its participants he noted:

“the knowledge and skills you acquire send a clear message to organised immigration crime groups using the Caribbean as a transit point that you will not tolerate this activity through your borders.”
