Police Set Conditions For Applying For Permission To Play Amplified Music

The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) reminds the general public that pursuant to section 18 (1) of the Noise Control Act, 2006, effective immediately, all request to the commissioner of police for permission to operate a loudspeaker or musical instrument in any public place must be made ten clear days before the date of the proposed event.

The RGPF will not consider any application made outside of this period except there are extenuating circumstances.

It has become necessary to enforce this legislation since late submissions have brought undue pressures and delays in approving applications of this nature.
