Flood Warning Discontinued

Forecasters at the Meteorological Office at the Maurice Bishop International Airport have advised that the flood and landslide warnings issued for Grenada on Saturday, November 5th, have been discontinued. The conditions of persistent rainfall predicted on Saturday evening for the next few days have changed as the tropical wave that was expected did not approach Grenada, but affected other islands to the north.

Moisture and instability continue to be present in the atmosphere and there is a very low chance of additional rainfall.

Another tropical wave is forecast to approach Grenada on Tuesday, November 8th. Currently the prediction is for a low chance of cloudiness and rainfall.

NaDMA and the Meteorological office will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
