PR – The Grenada Bankers Association (GBA) would like to advise the Grenadian public that as of September 30, 2022, the Bank of England will no longer be accepting as legal tender paper pound sterling twenty and fifty notes which have been replaced by its new polymer notes (link).
In an effort to ensure that local consumers redeem the value of the paper notes of these denominations that are in their possession; the association is requesting that a special effort be made to have these notes converted to local currency or exchanged for the newly issued polymer notes on or before September 23, 2022.
