Ruptured 12 Inch Main Affects Water Supply To Consumers From St. Patrick To St. Andrew

PR – The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) apologises to customers in St. Patrick and St. Andrew, who have been  experiencing water supply challenges, some since Saturday August 29th, 2021.

This extended interruption is the result of a ruptured 12 inch main in the Snell Hall area that  serves communities from Snell Hall in St. Patrick through to Pearls in St. Andrew.

The Transmission and Distribution team in St. Patrick worked tirelessly on Monday to repair  the line and restore supply to affected consumers, however it subsequently ruptured again.  The team is currently working on repairs with a view to having supply restored in the shortest  possible time.

NAWASA apologizes to all affected consumers for the inconveniences caused and thanks  them for their patience as we work towards the delivery of a safe, adequate and reliable water supply.
