The hazy conditions continue to affect Grenada however these conditions aren’t linked with the volcanic activity thats currently occurring in St. Vincent. As previously mentioned, the hazy conditions has been affecting Grenada earlier this week.
With #LaSoufriere erupting this morning, ash flow is currently moving in an eastward direction towards Barbados. The high level wind flow (red arrow from the satellite imagery) is relatively strong at the moment, hence the reason why the ash is flowing in that particular direction.
At present, the ash has spread approximately 130 nautical miles eastward.
In addition, the moderate seas are not linked with the volcano neither.
Furthermore, Grenada is relatively safe at the moment.
The meteorological office continues to monitor the conditions carefully.
