(LOOP NEWS TT) – A 57-year-old mechanic was granted $100,000 bail with surety when he appeared before a Siparia Magistrate on November 19 charged with sexual penetration of a minor.
The man, who resides in Penal, was also instructed by the Magistrate to remain 100 feet away from the victim and to have no form of communication with him.
The matter has been postponed to December 17.
Background
According to reports, on November 2, 2018, the seven-year-old boy was watching television at his grandfather’s home when the man allegedly forced him to have oral sex.
Furthermore, the boy told lawmen that the accused grabbed him by the penis and threatened to kill him if he told anyone.
Officers of the South-Western Division Child Protection Unit (CPU) detained the suspect following investigations led by acting Sergeant Taylor.
