(LOOP NEWS CARIBBEAN) – Police in The Bahamas are investigating the circumstances surrounding a double homicide after a 35-year-old man and his four-year-old son were found shot to death.
Police Commissioner Paul Rolle said both victims were found at a property in Rock Sound Eleuthera after 5pm on Saturday.
Both bodies bore gunshot wounds.
The top cop said the assailants opened fire on the man and his young son before they drove off in his car with two of his children in the backseat.
The vehicle was later found abandoned on a dirt road north of Rock Sound.
The children were unharmed.
The young boy is the third child to be murdered in The Bahamas in as many weeks.
Commissioner Rolle said investigations are ongoing, a motive hasn’t yet been ascertained.
