Forecasters at the Meteorological Office at the Maurice Bishop International Airport have advised of a low chance of Flooding for the state of Grenada today Saturday.
According to the 8am outlook, an abundance of moisture together with unstable atmospheric conditions is causing scattered moderate convective activity in the vicinity of the tri-island state. As such, cloudy conditions are expected throughout the day.
Models indicate that moderate to heavy showers and isolated thundershowers are expected to affect Grenada today with most of the activity in the morning and overnight. With expected rains and recent rainfall events over the past few days, a low chance of flash flooding and landslides can be expected in areas so prone.
Forecasters at the meteorological office will continue to monitor this convective activity and update on any changes.
The National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA) encourages all to remain vigilant as we are still in the Hurricane season.
