PR – The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) advises consumers served by the Annandale Water System that the current interruption in their water supply is due to two damaged water mains.
Restoration is anticipated by 4:00 p.m. today Thursday August 6th, 2020.
Annandale Water System serves: Annandale, Constantine, New Hampshire, River Road through to the entire south of the island.
Consumers are therefore encouraged to utilise their stored supply taking into consider- ation the needs of their family and pets.
Please also advised that although the system will be reopened at 4:00 a.m., consumers in elevated areas, may not receive their supply until within two (2) hours after the scheduled restoration period.
In addition, as a result of this work; there may be delays in the flow of traffic along the Springs and Woodlands main roads in the vicinity of the Café and Woodlands/Woburn Junctions. Motorists are therefore encouraged to use alternative routes to get to their various destinations.
The Authority apologises for any inconveniences and thanks consumers for their patience as we work towards the delivery of a safe, adequate and reliable water supply.
