trinidadexpress.com – A PASTOR faced court yesterday charged with the sexual penetration of a 13-year-old girl.
Dave Neaves, 46, of Grace Worship Centre in Rio Claro, appeared before senior magistrate Rae Roopchand at the Rio Claro court.
It is alleged that, on July 11, 2019, Neaves sexually penetrated the girl at her home. Neaves was charged by constable Luke of the Child Protection Unit.
Defence attorney Ashley Badal told the court that her client was married with children. She also said he had no previous or pending matters and was willing to submit to any bail conditions the court may impose.
Police prosecutor Sgt Mohammed made no objection to bail.
Roopchand placed Neaves on $75,000 bail with a cash alternative of $10,000.
He was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim as a condition of his bail. The matter was adjourned to November 18.
