The Government’s Negotiating Team (GNT) met Tuesday with the Grenada Union of Teachers to discuss wage increases for teachers, for the contract cycle 2020 to 2022.
Today’s negotiations were cordial and there was movement from both sides, with respect to the demand being made by the union and the offer presented by the GNT.
The flexibility of the parties demonstrates a willingness to reach a settlement at the earliest opportunity.
The next round of negotiations will be held on Thursday, October 24.
The GUT represents about 1,500 teachers across the country.
