Tri Island Chocolate Opens The First Chocolate Factory Cafe

Tri-Island chocolate, Grenada’s youngest chocolate company will open the first-ever chocolate factory and cafe in St Georges along the islands bustling lawyer filled Lower Lucas Street. Tri-Island chocolate merges their chocolate factory operation with a ‘make your own chocolate bar’ or ‘cocoa tea spice blend’ experience and cafe, visitors will enjoy a cold or warm beverage whilst taking part in making their very own chocolate bars or cocoa tea from a selection of ingredients.

The factory at Lower Lucas Street and H A Blaze Street junction will offer three main components: a factory, cafe and chocolate/cocoa tea making experiences. The factory in St Georges will be the new home for Tri-Island chocolate to produce their single-origin, dark milk and dark chocolate bars, along with new seasonal flavours. The experiences offered will first teach visitors about Grenadian cocoa and the islands chocolate industry, before proceeding into the factory where they will then make their own chocolate bar flavours. The cafe will offer traditional coffee, tea and cold beverages, along with a range of locally made pastries and cakes.

Tri-Island chocolate has already been acknowledged on the international market, after receiving a commendation in 2018 by the Academy of Chocolate for their 75% dark chocolate with bee pollen inclusion made with beans from St Andrews Crochu.

Aaron Sylvester and his brother inherited a small plot of land in Felix Park, Crochu, St Andrew from their Grandparents Veronica and Fitzy Sylvester, over a four-year period Aaron has rehabilitated the farm now offering a popular Roots to Bar experience, providing an authentic farm experience including insight into Rastafarian culture, beekeeping and the importance of iTal food. In 2018 he launched three chocolate bars onto the Grenadian market, available at IGA Real Value and Maurice Bishop International Airport amongst other outlets. Working in partnership with local farmers and family in his community, he has reached this stage through collaboration and consistent local support.
