trinidadexpress.com- A LABOURER who allegedly breached a protection order, broke and entered the home of his former girlfriend and slashed the woman and her husband with a knife, appeared before the court on the three charges on Monday.
Vince Walker, 52 of Mon Repos, faced San Fernando senior magistrate Jo-Anne Connor charged with maliciously wounding Brenell Nelson and Kareem Nelson on September 10.
It was also alleged that he broke and entered Brenell Nelson’s dwelling house with intent to wound.
Walker was not called upon to plea to the indictable charges laid by constable Crawford.
To the third charge from Crawford that Walker contravened a protection order and damages items, he said he was not guilty.
Police prosecutor Cleyon Seedan told the court that the alleged victims were out of hospital.
He made no objection to Walker’s bail based on his criminal background. Seedan however asked for the conditions that Walker has no contact and stay 100 metres away from the Nelsons.
Connor placed him on $85,000 bail with the condition that he has no interaction with the alleged victims. The matters were adjourned to October 21.
