NAWASA Reports 98% Restoration Of Water Supply Following The Passage Of Tropical Storm Karen

The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) is happy to report that all water systems with the exception of Mamma Cannes in St. Andrew have been restored.

Our team is working to address a broken 6 inches main from the Mamma Cannes treatment plant and once completed, supply will be restored to consumers in Grand Bacolet, Hope, Hope City, Petit Esperance, Felix Park and surrounding communities.

NAWASA advises the general public that although all systems were reopened, it will take a while for the network to be fully recharged for adequate distribution, affecting consumers more so in elevated communities.

NAWASA thanks the general public for their understanding and cooperation during the passage of Tropical Storm Karen.

NAWASA…committed to meeting customers’ needs
