Weather Alert: Tropical Wave To Affect Grenada Tonight Into Sunday

The National Disaster Management Agency has been advised by the Meteorological Office at the Maurice Bishop International Airport that Grenada and her dependencies will be affected by a tropical wave Saturday night into Sunday.

According to the forecaster, An Atlantic Ocean tropical wave is along 56W/58W from 20N southward. Scattered moderate to isolated strong rainshowers cover the area that is from 09N to 15N between 53W and 61W.

In addition, the ITCZ continues from the low pressure center.

Hence the State of Grenada is expected to be impacted by both the ITCZ and the tropical wave.

As a result of this, moderate to heavy showers and thundershowers are expected. These conditions are expected to continue into tomorrow Sunday.

NaDMA together with the Met office will continue to monitor the wave and provide an update.
