The Grenada Technical and Allied Workers’ Union on last Monday, April 29, 2019 swept the ballot in a Ministry of Labour conducted poll to become the sole Bargaining Agent for all the workers employed at Satnam Inc. The employees casted their ballot voted in favour of the Union.
The employees of Satnam Inc. now has Trade Union representation for the first time.
Representing the Ministry of Labour was Mr. Cyrus Griffith & Ms. Jeryl Francis. Representing Satnam Inc. was Mr. Tehalyani General Manager and Ms. Shelly Waldron – Human Resource Manager. Mr. Godwin Thomas and Mr. Trevor Xavier represented the Union.
GTAWU is expected to meet with the Workers to hold discussions on the way forward and the workers will elect their Shop Steward.
