Trinidad’s Murder Toll Is Now 118 Following Double Murder – Two men were stabbed to death on Wednesday afternoon in Diego Martin and Chaguanas.

The deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Anthony Franklyn and 32-year-old Keybon Andrews.

At about 6.50p.m. on Wednesday along the Chaguanas Main Road, Chaguanas. Andrews, of Caroni Savannah Road, Chaguanas, was near Naipaul Xtra Food Supermarket, he saw a man known to him.

There was a confrontation between the two The man pulled a knife and stabbed Andrews about the body.

Andrews was taken to the Chaguanas District Hospital where he died.

The other incident took place about four hours before in Diego Martin.

The alleged killer called the police on himself.

At about 3p.m. Anthony Franklyn nicknamed “Gaza”, was with a 31-year-old male relative at a home along Allick Terrace, off Bagatelle Road, when the two got into a confrontation.

The confrontation became physical and Franklyn was stabbed about the upper body.

The stabber made the call to police. He was detained.

These killings pushed the murder toll to 118 for the year.

The comparative toll was 133.
