Two persons were arrested and charged for exposing liquor for sale without licenses.
Marvin Andall, 38 years, Vendor of Grand Anse, St. George and Gevon Andrews, 29 years of Grenville Street, St. George’s were nabbed during a police operation in the town of St. George.
Additional charges of vending on the sidewalk, use of obscene language, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled drug were laid against Andall.
He was granted bail in the sum of three thousand dollars with one surety while Andrews was granted two thousand dollars bail with one surety. Both men will appear at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on May 28th 2019.
Section 3. (1) Cap 174 of Volume 9 of the 2010 Continuous Revised Laws of Grenada makes it an offence for anyone to sell or expose intoxicating liquor without being duly licensed to sell same.
Any person who shall sell or expose for sale any intoxicating liquor without being duly licensed to sell the same, or at any place or in any manner that he or she is not authorised by his or her license to sell the same, shall be guilty of an offence.
