System Challenges – Annandale Water Treatment Plant

The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) wishes to advise consumers served by the Annandale Water System that due to the effects of the heavy rains experienced today, the Authority is severely challenged with the adequate distribution of water to their homes.

Annandale, NAWASA’s largest water treatment plant serves Annandale through to the entire South of the island. Water supply has been interrupted without a defined timeline for restoration as off 9:45 p.m. today Tuesday November 13, 2018.

Consumers without a supply are encouraged to utilize their stored supply taking into consideration the needs of their families and pets.

If you are fortunate to still have water flowing through the mains, you are AGAIN REMINDED of the need to have water stored to last a minimum of three days and a maximum of one week. It is important that the stored supply MUST reflects 35 gallons of water, per person, per day.

The Authority apologises for any inconveniences caused and thanks consumers for their patience as we work towards the delivery of a safe, adequate and reliable water supply.

NAWASA will update the nation as to the progress of restoration efforts during the course of the day on Wednesday November 14th, 2018.

NAWASA……Committed to meeting customers’ needs.
