Three Men Charged In Connection With May Day Shooting


Investigators at Sauteurs Police Station have arrested and formally charged three men in connection with the May Day shooting that occurred at Bathway Beach, St. Patrick.
Von Cyrus of The Carenage, St. George, Seon Grant of River Sallee, St. Patrick and Kemlon Andrew of Seamon, St. Andrew appeared at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court today, Monday 7th May, 2018.

Cyrus and Grant were jointly charged for the offenses of attempted murder, grievous harm, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, while Andrew has been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Additional charges of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, and assault with a deadly weapon has also been laid against Cyrus by detectives at South St. George Police Station.

Both Cyrus and Grant were denied bail and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

Andrew was granted bail in the sum of 25-thousand dollars with two sureties. He is to surrender all travel documents and report to Grenville Police Station Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 06:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

All three men are due to reappear at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on Monday 28th May, 2018.

Police investigations are continuing.
