One Man Killed, Brother In Custody

One man is dead following a stabbing incident, which occurred in Mr. Horne, St. Andrew, Friday night.

According to sources, Stephen Francis, also known as Stephen Jeffery, 31 years old, of the same address, died at the General Hospital from injuries sustained in an altercation between him and his brother.

One man is reportedly in custody assisting police with their investigations.

This is the second member of this family killed in a similar manner. On October 8th, 2011, Dellon Jeffery, brother of Stephen, was fatally chopped in the neck by Sherwin Shane Buckmire, who was convicted in the high court for the incident.

This recent killing is Grenada’s 5th homicide for 2018. Two men were charged with non-capital murder for another stabbing incident which occurred last weekend. On Tuesday, charges were laid against Jonny Perryman of Beaton St. David and David Gulston of the same address.

Immediately following the incident, the two men were detained by police, assisting them with their investigations into the weekend death of 61 year old, Francis Williams, resident of Beaton, St. David.

Francis Williams was allegedly stabbed to the face and chest during an altercation on Saturday 24th March, 2018. The incident occurred about 8:00 p.m. in an area known as the ‘The Rock’, in Beaton, St. David. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
