Today we introduce to you: NAWASA SAASS for Intercol 2018.
The National Water and Sewerage Authority is very pleased to announce that it is the title sponsor for the 2018 Intercol Team of the St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School (SAASS).
On Friday March 16th, 2018, NAWASA’s Communications Supervisor Mrs. Jamila Samuel finalized discussions and official sponsorship of the team with School Principal Mrs. Dianne Abel – Jeffery.
NAWASA’s investment will ensure that SAASS is all ready to recapture the championship trophy at the Intercol games which officially commences on Tuesday March 20th, 2018, at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium.
Team NAWASA will be on the side-lines cheering the school and according to Mrs. Abel Jeffery “As the Principal of this prestigious organization I feel very pleased to be forging a partnership with this noble institution NAWASA.”
“To meet the cost for Intercol preparation is very high and the school by itself is burdened to make the necessary provisions for the athletes to perform at their best. So, when corporate Grenada comes out in this kind of manner as NAWASA has done today it is always a blessing. The students will benefit, the parish of St. Andrew and Grenada as a whole will benefit. We continue to thank and commend NAWASA for this invaluable contribution to SAASS and to young persons in Grenada.” Mrs. Abel – Jeffery added.
SAASS continues to be a perennial powerhouse in track and field in Grenada, capturing the Intercol title twenty (20) times in the male category and three (3) times in the female. NAWASA is confident that it will be a 21 and 4 for 2018.
This investment for 2018, is just the start of a partnership between NAWASA and SAASS and will further foster and develop the athletic capabilities of the students of the school.
NAWASA continues to take its Corporate Social responsibility seriously as we aim to achieve a positive impact on society and looks forward to SAASS continued excellence for 2018.
