Major Companies To Join Protest In St. George’s

ST. GEORGE, GRENADA, Jan. 3rd, 2017 – Workers of the National Water and Sewage Authority (NAWASA), through its bargaining agent, the Grenada Technical and Allied Workers Union (GTAWU), say they are taking to the streets on Thursday. This time several major companies would be involved, including GRENLEC, Grenada Airports Authority, Grenada Ports Authority and the Grenada Bus Terminus.

This, the union says, is as a result of NAWASA’s refusal to make all contract workers permanent, from their first date of employment.
